Set in the North Yorkshire countryside, but only 4.5 miles from York city centre, The Willows Carp & Coarse Fishery is the perfect location for a peaceful and relaxing days fishing. Consisting of two “well established” and individual lakes, the fishery boasts many feature-rich pegs offering great coarse and carp fishing for the pleasure, or match angler. Large free car park, toilet facilites, cooked sandwiches and hot drinks available (please ask). No long walks - ideal for the disabled.

Announcement

The Willows 2007 Winter Series will be starting on the 3rd of November, the draw time is 9am fishing 10 am until 4 pm, or 3:30 pm, depending on light. Please contact Cath if you wish to put your name down.

Pleasure angler, Paul Cook fishing with a float rod and waggler and floating bread caught 47 carp from 3lb to 7lb for a terrific days fishing from peg 33.

Dave Pollitt blitzed the opposition on peg 34 in the 3 hour evening open with 94lbs on catmeat.

Steve Raper annihilated the opposition with 148lbs beating his nearest rival by 51lbs; all the fish were taken on luncheon meat fished shallow.

Dave Pollitt (Hirst Tackle) won the Spring Series with 15 points with a weight of 556.6lbs. Dave Armitage (Bob-co) 2^nd with 16 points and a weight of 432.12lbs and Steve Raper was 3^rd with 17 points and 435lbs.

We are pleased to announce that Leeds tackle shop Bob-Co will sponsor the 2006/7 Winter Series on the Goldrush and Ridge pools. Bob-co have also declared that they will sponsor the 2007 Spring Series.

Paul Gallagher (The Willows) blitzed the opposition on todays Bob-co winter series match with a staggering 145-08 of carp. Paul fished maggot tight to branches on the island at peg 47.

The Utlimate Hengelsport Summer Series concluded on Saturday with Willows regular Steve Raper finishing 2 points clear with 22 points - Well done Steve. Second with 24 points was Paul Gallagher. 3^rd Andy Gallant with 27 points. 4^th Stuart Wilson with 33 points. 5^th Graham Boardley with 35 points.
